We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join us at our Utrecht HQ.

The opportunity in short

We're in the middle of a large-scale architectural transformation — migrating to a micro-frontend and microservices architecture while maintaining and evolving our existing platform in parallel. We have a clear product vision and strategy running through 2028, and this role sits right at the intersection of execution and architecture: you'll evaluate options, make decisions, and help drive the technical direction that brings that vision to life.

Responsibilities

• Lead feature delivery within your squad — from scoping through to production, keeping the team aligned and moving

• Co-own the frontend roadmap alongside fellow Senior FE Engineers, contributing to architectural decisions that will shape the platform for years

• Translate complex product requirements into well-structured, maintainable code

• Use AI tooling (GitHub Copilot and beyond) as your default working mode — you know how to apply it meaningfully in a frontend context, whether that's accelerating implementation, improving test coverage, or exploring design decisions faster

• Actively look for where AI can compress the gap between idea and shipped feature — and act on it

• Participate in the full product development cycle, from blueprint to go-live

• Work closely with UX designers, QA engineers, and other developers in a Spotify-model squad

A strong candidate will check most of these boxes:

• Proven track record owning feature delivery end-to-end, from blueprint to production

• Experience aligning PO requirements with development capacity and leading a squad through execution

• React and TypeScript as your primary stack — you're comfortable and fast in it

• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and MUI

• AI-assisted development is already how you work — you've moved past the basics and you're always looking for the next layer of leverage

• You don't just align with the product vision — you own a piece of it and take responsibility for bringing it to life
